The Fair Work Commission has increased the national minimum wage by 2.5%

 

When will this be introduced?

Similar to last year, the increase has grouped awards and staggered increases across three dates (keep reading)

 

What does that look like in $ and cents?

The minimum wage will increase to $772.60 per week or $20.33 per hour.

This is an increase of $18.80 per week or 49 cents per hour.

 

Which awards and when?

1 July 2021: All Awards EXCEPT the following delayed until September and November:

1 September 2021: General Retail Industry Award 2020

1 November 2021: (see list below)

Unless the award your employees fall under is listed in the above 1st September increase or 1st November increasethe 2.5% national minimum wage increase must be paid to all other awards from the first pay cycle on or after 1st July 2021.
